Terms and Conditions l Granada Sketching Retreat from October 23-27, 2025
1. Registration and Payment

A deposit of €500 is required to register your place at the retreat.

The remaining balance becomes due on the confirmation date. You agree to pay the remaining balance within 7 days of the confirmation date.

All payments will be invoiced in euros.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
​

If you cancel:
(a) before the confirmation date, any payments made (including the deposit, but minus any transaction fees), can be fully refunded,
(b) on or after the confirmation date but before 23 July 2025, the deposit will not be refunded, and
(c) on or after 23 July 2025, cancellations are non-refundable.

Subject to paragraph 7 (Force Majeure), in the unlikely event that we cancel the retreat, a full refund (including the deposit, but minus any transaction fees) will be issued to you.

No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, or non-attendance at activities during the retreat.

3. Travel & Insurance

You are responsible for arranging your own flights and transportation to the agreed retreat location.

You agree to purchase travel, medical and cancellation insurance for protection against any circumstances that might require cancellation or change of travel arrangements.

We are not responsible for any personal loss, injury, or damage incurred before, during, or after the retreat.

4. Accommodation and room arrangements

Prices are based on your selected room arrangement (the “regular price”):

Double occupancy shared room: €1,998 per person

Single room: €2,608 per person.

If you register for the retreat prior to 15 June 2025, you will receive the early bird price, being a €200 discount to the regular price.

Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Room assignments are confirmed upon full payment and are subject to availability.

5. Itinerary and Activities
​

The retreat schedule is subject to change due to weather, unforeseen circumstances, or at our discretion.

Activities and workshops are designed for all skill levels, but you should be prepared for walking and outdoor sketching sessions.

Any personal expenses, meals outside the provided itinerary, and optional excursions are not included in the retreat price.

6. Conduct and Responsibilities

You are expected to conduct yourself respectfully towards fellow sketchers, staff, and local communities.

We reserve the right to remove you from the retreat without a refund if you engage in disruptive or inappropriate behaviour at any time.

You are responsible for your own belongings. We are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
7. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for cancellations or disruptions due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or travel restrictions.

In such cases, efforts will be made to reschedule or provide alternative solutions, but refunds are not guaranteed.
8. Definitions and Interpretation
​
In these terms and conditions:

“confirmation date” means the date that we notify you by email that the retreat is confirmed.
-
“retreat” means the urban sketching retreat in Granada, Spain organised by us from October 23-27, 2025.
-
“we”, “our” or “us” means Julia Henze and Emma Alexandra Burrell.
-
“you” or “your” means the participant booking the retreat.

​These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of The Netherlands.
9. Agreement
